Biography

Dr. Wolfgang Baltus has completed his PhD in Natural Products Chemistry from the Technical University Carolo-Wilhelmina of Braunschweig in 1987/ He has been working as consultant for several biopolymer and biorefinery projects in South-East Asia. He is a former advisor of the National Innovation Agency (NIA), responsible for the implementation of the National Bioplastic roadmap in Thailand and has worked for BASF in business development management for the coating market in Asia for 15 years. He is the founder of Wobaltexpedition Consultancy, an independent consultancy service provider. He is one of the supporting experts of the German NOVA Institute for the market study on bio-based polymers/building blocks and is part of the advisory board for the NOVA conferences in this matter. He has supported the UNEP regarding their Eco-Innovation manual.
