Biography
Fawzi Banat is a Professor & Cahir of Chemical Engineering Department at the Petroleum Institute (PI). After obtaining his chemical engineering doctorate at McGill University, Canada, in 1995, he taught at several universities before joining the PI in 2011. He has published over 120 papers in reputed journals and served in many scientific committees.

Biography
Dr. Ying-Ling Liu received his BS and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) in 1991 and 1996, respectively. After 2-eay army service and 2-year working as a researcher in the Chang Chun Plastic Co. (Taiwan), in 2000 he joined the faculty of Chung Yuan Christian University (Taiwan) as an assistant professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, and promoted to associate professor in 2003 and to a full professor in 2006. He moved to Department of Chemical Engineering of National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) in 2011, and currently is a Professor at the same Department. With research interests in polymer chemistry of synthesis, high performance thermosetting polymers, and polymeric membranes for separation and fuel cells, Professor Liu has authored/coauthored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles with an ISI-based H-index of 42.

Biography
Dr John Williams CSci CChem FRSC John is a Senior Partner and Board member of S’Investec LLC, a private investment company specialising in Clean Tech, Biotech and Renewables. He is responsible for identifying and valorising all proposals prior to consideration for investment. John is also a Non-Executive Director of Floreon Transform Packaging, a Hull based SME producing bioplastics, as well as a Board member and Technical Director of the Bio-Based & Biodegradable Industries Association John was for over 7 years Head of Materials at the UK’s National Centre for Biorenewable Technologies, before joining S’Investec in 2013. Previously he had spent over 15 years in senior technical roles in the polymer industry. John holds a degree in Chemistry and doctorate in polymer chemistry and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Directors, and European Chemical Society.
